Start cataloging anime you've watched or manga you've read.

If you haven't already I recommend you create a MAL or anilist account where you can record everything you've watched, then you can post it like this My MAL so that everyone can know what you've seen. Nothing saps my motivation to give suggestions then feeling like I'm playing a guessing game of what the OP has seen and hasn't seen, and it's a real downer to take the time to come up with a recommendation for some one and find out it was a waste because they've already seen it. On the other hand I quite enjoy going through my MAL list and putting together a list of suggestions for people when I know what they've seen. Anyhow that's just my two cents worth.
