Kind of an obvious design flaw

  1. Simple terminal UI for git commands.
    Sure you can git add -p, but moving through each file, viewing he diff and selecting chunks, or whole files, works better (for me) in a GUI. I'll often use lazygit if I'm in linux, so you're not even leaving the console or taking your hands of the keyboard.

    IME, not really? Git for Windows or MSYS2 are both pretty solid. I used Cygwin for years, but MSYS2 seems to integrate a bit more smoothly (plus MSYS uses pacman instead of Cygwin's fiddly gui for package management).
