Karabiner Contexts Witch
  1. Karabiner, previously called KeyRemap4MacBook, is a very powerful keyboard remapper for Mac OS X.
If you only nee to remap some keys or want to build some macros, switch over to Karabiner-Elements. You can still create some really impressive macros and unique functionality, though the interface to build the macros isn't quite as nice (I know they just updated for Monterey though, so maybe it's a touch better). There are a couple of free tools out there to help you write more complex macros which you can then import into Karabiner (there is also a community site of already existing and common remappings and macros you could install). I've been using it for years, both before and along with BetterTouchTool. Definitely check it out.

  2. Switch between application windows effortlessly — with Fast Search, a better Command-Tab, a Sidebar or even a quick gesture. Free trial available.
Contexts has alt-tab functionality while allowing you to view all open windows of the same app. It's not free, but it's decently cheap if alt-tab is important and at least it's not a subscription.
