For thumbnails, I use Canva to edit, there's a lot of stuff there that's free for commercial use, and you can upload your own images to use. There are additional features you can pay for, but nothing you can't do without. For additional images and sound effects/music, there's Pixabay.

KineMaster

There are a lot of different ways to go about it! For editing, I know a lot people use Kinemaster on their phones. Pretty sure it's free. I use a computer, so I record and edit on Audacity, also free.
