    Most NAS owner would probably be better off just using single drives (not JBOD unless done like MergerFS, and using the parity drives for a proper versioned backup. It of course means that you’re not presented with a single large volume, but that also means that if a drive fails, you only need to restore the data from that drive (or only lose the data on that drive), and there is no raid rebuild process.
