  2. The world's largest online music service. Listen online, find out more about your favourite artists, and get music recommendations, only at Last.fm
I have been using last.fm for 17 years now, once you connect with it, it tracks your listening habits and recommends music and you can also use it to listen to similar bands to the ones you already like or to even check out and listen to entire genres. Streaming services like Tidal, Deezer, Spotify and similar are always an okay choice, I usually use them when I know what I want to listen to. YouTube, YouTube Music, Bandcamp - all great sources for finding music. Soundcloud might be good for you too. Mixcloud is used mostly for mixes, so if you prefer a specific genre, you can find mixes of that genre. And there are so many of streaming services, so whatever your preferable source of music is, you will find most music on there. Alternatively, and I admit I don't do this often at all, you can always go to some blog or music portal and check what they are recommending (for example NME, Pitchfork, Consequence, of the top of my head, but pretty sure you can find more of those, more specific to what you are looking for). And one more thing that just popped into my head, there's this book but I'm sure you can also find a list online - "1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die" and also 1001 albums. Basically, now is the easiest time to find the music you can listen to and love and connect to, in a sense of it all mostly being online after all and it just need a couple of clicks, but also because of that, there is a lot of music out there, so finding something super specific very quick might be a bit tricky, but fear not, even if you listen to something and you don't like it, you will just know you don't like it and will listen to something else that you do like. The more you listen to music, the better and quicker you will be able to hear and realize if it's something to your liking or not. And just relax and enjoy, it is a bit of an adventure :).

  4. AllMusic.
I use allmusic.com and pitchfork to find new stuff. I also use the algorithm a bit, but don't depend on it. When you find an artist you like, follow them on socials so you can find out when they release something new, or if they go on tour. When they tour, they often do so with bands they like, exposing you to something new.
