That's plenty of cash depending on how nice a places you want to stay and eat. I traveled around 12k miles during Covid, all over the US in few separate trips. Used hotels.com or booking.com for last minute hotels, kept them cheap. Local AirBnBs can be much cheaper but I didn't want to spend time finding homes in the middle of nowhere.
