Speedtest.net

Protectli tests each of our devices with a plain (out of the box) configuration of OPNsense, validating they can reach full wire speed (~940Mbps) from LAN to WAN. This includes the FW2B. Our standard testing is done using separate devices on the WAN and LAN side as an iPerf server and an iPerf client. We also validate these numbers using public speedtest servers (like speedtest.net and fast.com). Public speed test numbers are usually a bit less than iPerf numbers (~5-7% less, depending on a number of factors).
