To me, it seems like their newsletter plugin is closely tied with their local news publication product of the same name. Of interest, Newspack is a project of WordPress.com and the Google News Initiative. So one of the cool features of the Newspack newsletter plugin is the ability to easily add google ads into their newsletters.
