KeePass

The most basic is KeePass which is open source and uses a local file. No 3rd party involvement, but protection is only as good as the passphrase you set and things like browser auto-fill are through 3rd party tools, something that can be difficult to navigate. But the program itself is very fast and easy to use locally.

Many online services exist such as LastPass, bitwarden, Dashlane, and 1password. They all work similarly - passwords are stored in an online vault that's decrypted with a master password that the service doesn't have access to. Browser extensions and mobile apps make it easy to auto-fill and keep up to date passwords. They support multi-factor authentication and sharing.
