Thoughts on switching from Pico-8

However, you can impose similar limitations on your own, even if they aren't hard coded. You can set your window size to 128x128. When I do pixelart I always use a restricted palette. Lospec is brilliant for that, I believe aseprite has the pico8 palette built in. Nothing prevents you from also going with 16x16 sprites and using the same max amount of sprites. You might also want to check out pixelroama(more limitations, tool is made in godot) As for token count and such, in godot you typically write multiple small scripts that you attach to the different elements so token count is more abstract but possible. Regarding sound I don't really do any myself so it's hard so recommend an alternative. Maybe bfxr and milky tracker.
