    If you want something a bit more "fully featured" (And more useful for debugging and the like), the full version of Visual Studio also has a free version: https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/community/ (I would only recommend this if you're planning to learn Unity or write .net desktop applications or something and I'd only bother downloading it once you've got your feet wet with the basics).

Another good language you can learn is C#, which is pretty popular in the enterprise environment but is also the backbone to Game Engines like Unity. You can use VS Code to learn it and there's extensive documentation from Microsoft here: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/learn/dotnet/hello-world-tutorial/intro (Note: I'm a .net developer myself, this is my bread and butter).
