Substack Medium Taleguild
  1. Substack makes it simple for a writer to start an email newsletter that makes money from subscriptions.
i've broken down most of the barriers between me and writing, and so I basically am writing constantly. I write about 50% of it in journals/idea notebooks. That stuff is "ideas in development", outlines & early drafts of possible topics. Some of it flows out onto forums & comment sections, into replies on social media sites, and I post essays & fiction on medium.com and substack.com although I understand substack has become something of a meme lately...i also am trying to put together a longer form book or something, something I wouldn't publish until it was completed, but I have a hard time not publishing stuff immediately, because I feel like the more time passes from when I write it, the uh...less vivid it becomes. I feel like my older writing doesn't always have the same vividness and sense of presence as whatever I am writing currently. that's something I'm still trying to figure out. I mean...i write fiction, one chapter at a time, as basically blog posts. But I wish I could hold stuff back and publish it all at once as a huge block?? Idk what is better. also, I often wonder if there are better places to publish my fiction & essays than medium & substack, like maybe I am publishing in the wrong places.
