For archive.org: They offer PDF files that have text layers, but they use all sorts of oddball compression that has given me lots of grief. I've been trying to build out processes that decompress the archive.org files but it's taken me a long time and I still don't have a good solution. This is just a warning. If you have trouble with the archive.org pdf files don't get discouraged. They can be difficult to juggle.
