I used to have this problem too however I use another tool called Eagle, mainly to tag and store my personal files(jpg/png/psd/fig/pptx/docx) https://en.eagle.cool/ Eagle doesn't just store files in a hierarchical way which I found interesting too! What I like about it its their tagging features, if you have A file that belongs to both wallpaper and event, you may give them two tags, so when you are looking for wallpaper or event files it may pop up! It also supports webpage downloads or just simply bookmark a webpage with its extension plugin! I like using them to batch download pictures on Pinterest using this feature! Hope it helps!
