During the first lockdown I was very much into this, mostly the free online MOOC ones (edx.org). I did it for fun and not for career development. It's a great way to get a taste of a broad range of topics; I did ones about weather forecasting, astrobiology, Antarctica and more. It helps you refine what you're interested in and not interested in and gives you the freedom to explore niche topics that you might not normally otherwise explore.
