Google News FocusMe Digg
  1. Comprehensive up-to-date news coverage, aggregated from sources all over the world by Google News.
Before I get into the rules, I'll mention that I noticed certain feeds are responsible for probably 90% of my internet distraction. For me, these "Doom Feeds" are news.google.com and digg.com. I can easily drop a couple of hours into these before I break away, I make special rules to allow these only in tiny portions.

  2. With so much access to information and distractions on the internet, it's easy to get sidetracked.
Many of you on this subreddit are probably aware of the app FocusMe. I won't take any space here to explain how it works except to say it uses flexible rules to actively block web sites and apps on your devices. I've been playing with FocusMe for a few years now and through trial and error I've come up with a pattern that works well in keeping me from spending too much time on the internet.
