Well look for companies like geoarm, alarmgrid, surety, that sell you a Proper security system that is DIY and easy to install but instead of taking 30mins to install ring, its more of a half a day project depending on the size of your house but regardless its mostly peel and stick like ring and plug and play, but wall mounting the touchscreen panel is the one that takes quite some time to install since you would have to drill a small hole wear the panel is at and another small hole above the power outlet below and fish the cable down and drill the bracket in. But you could table mount it. Going this route would mean you actually have a proper security system (not saying the ring & SimpliSafe aren't) you would get an actual professional security system that has things like cellular backup and crash & smash protection and all you do is log on to their website and choose a security panel that suits your needs and liking, I'd recommend the IQ Panel 2, Honeywell lyric or 2GIG and they also sell monitoring plans on the website. These Panels work with alarm.com which is the platform that lets you control thermostats, lights, cameras all on the alarm.com app that connects to your panel letting you arm and disarm remotely and is used by 90% off security companies (Excluding the big names with their own platform like ADT, Vivint, etc).
