  • what is travel photography?
I'd recommend looking in 500px.com . Go to "Discover->Popular" then find the "Categories" button and select "Travel". - Source: Reddit / 10 days ago
  • Now that the smoke has cleared, how many of you were foolish enough to spend real money on these "problematic" images?
An NFT as well as it's owner are stored on the blockchain (BTC Blockchain, Etherium Blockchain, etc.) As an artist myself - if I wanted to - I could sell digital work via this technology. It's surle an intersting alternative to traditional plattforms like www.saatchiart.com, 500px.com, or etsy.com. The Blockchain is nothing more than a decentralized*, digital, currency trading plattform. It's transparent: Any... - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
  • Hey team, I’m a new bike owner and new to the community. This 1979 Suzuki GS550 is my first build ever. Any suggestions, advise, how to books, or video series would be greatly appreciated!
Super! I would recommend making it mechanically correct before starting the cosmetic. An overlooked picture inspiration is 500px.com- just search "cafe racer" then add gs550 or suzuki Have fun with the build! - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
  • Where's everyone posting nowadays?

  • Where's everyone posting nowadays?
I haven't seen anyone mention 500px.com, I am new to photography, but they support a free tier... Is there a reason I'm unaware of that makes it unpopular? - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
  • I got my first DSLR! The D5600. Very happy with it so far. Bought it gently used with the 18-55mm and 70-300mm. I’m very new to this and was wondering where would I be able to find good resources for beginners. I eventually want to do outdoor scenery shots, so thinking of getting a 35mm lens too
Here's another idea for you. Jump over to 500px.com and in the search area put 50mm 1.2 and look at the photos. Then change the search to 50mm 1.8 and look at the photos. Maybe add 85mm 1.8 and look at those too. Seeing the difference (or lack thereof) may be helpful. You can click into a photo and usually see the make/model of the camera and lens being used. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
  • What is the best alternative to Instagram for sharing photos of your travels?
For personal, I've used 500px.com for my own images. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
  • Web Technologies Every Web Developer Must Know
Ruby on Rails is a server-side website technology that makes app development much easier and faster. The thing that really sets this framework apart is the reusability of the code as well as some other cool features that will help you get the job done in no time. Popular websites written with Ruby include Basecamp, Ask.fm, GitHub, 500px, and many others. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
  • Hide CGI (or whatever those images are) or other alternatives
The images are "Second Life" CGI, and they are fairly disgusting to me as well. There are other photography sites: smugmug.com, pexels.us, pixabay.com, unsplash.com, 500px.com, shutterstock.com, etc. Smugmug is the only one that comes close to the searching you can do on Flickr. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
  • Resources for photo examples with camera settings?
Not sure if it will help you but it is your party: https://500px.com. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago

  • Landscape hobbyist looking to get back in after some time off…
I start with a map and look for State and National Parks. I Google them and look at images. I go to 500px.com and search on the names there and look at other's images. It gives me some idea of the area and if it looks interesting. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
  • Images
.png files have worked best for me. But, you can also embed images from Flickr, which is legal as long as you don't change the embed code: https://help.flickr.com/en_us/share-or-embed-flickr-photos-or-albums-rJBx6mjyX. Or 500PX another popular photo-sharing site: https://500px.com/. The quality of the web hosting should also be taken into account, use paid not free ones. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago

That said, if you’re looking for a cloud storage option for your work, you’ll have to look elsewhere as that is not what 500px is designed for. It only stores high-quality images for licensing and doesn’t allow you to store RAW files.
