Also, in your space, look at who sells via hubs.com etc. And see if you can approach them directly. Source: about 1 year ago
Recommend you try hubs.com instead. Source: about 1 year ago
BTW, if you don't know anyone with a printer, you can always send it somewhere to have it printed. Lots of place online do it, such as hubs.com. Some UPS Stores now have 3D Printers as well: https://www.theupsstore.com/print/3d-printing/locations. Source: about 1 year ago
Use sketchup (it's free) to model it, then you can go to hubs.com or shapeways to get a quote on a 3D printed part. If it's gonna be out of the sun, you can probably get by with PLA. Otherwise use PETG for higher heat resistance. Source: over 1 year ago
I tried getting a quote on hubs.com for example-- it said $10 but then minimum order size of $90. Is there a way I can get this very inexpensively printed? I am just trying to print one for now for myself. Source: over 1 year ago
This is a one-off CNC machined "Yolk Yellow" (Pantone 14-0846 TCX) Bakeneko60 that I ordered on hubs.com. It cost $730-ish including shipping, but they were able to give me a 15% discount after I complained that the internals were scratched up because of the anodization hooks. Source: about 2 years ago
My previous employer outsourced larger prints to hubs.com If your prints are on the smaller side, feel free to send me the links and I can see if it is feasible on my machine. I am based in Pittsburgh. Source: over 2 years ago
I'm typing right now on a brass kei that I got through extras ($636.00 USD Incl shipping). I also have 2 bakeneko one-offs and one incoming, one that I paid around $150 for a one-off 3d printed nylon case (hubs.com), a polycarbonate one that I paid around $180 for the case (pcbway), and an alu one that I paid an $800 invoice for (hubs.com). For the alu board at the quality that I want, maybe I could have gotten... Source: over 2 years ago
I used Fusion 360 to design it and sent the 3D file to hubs.com and Xometry to produce one each. The one pictured is from hubs.com. They did a great job and it cost US$250. Source: over 2 years ago
You might be able to find someone who’ll do it for fun, but you’re unlikely to find a machine shop/CNC shop who’ll make you a single custom part for less than 60€. If it’s something which you think others might want, you could always get a quote from something like hubs.com and then try organising a group buy, or buy a batch and then sell the spares on ebay. In the folder, I also have an screenshot of a warning when I uploaded it to hubs.com to see if they could print it for me. I'm on a pretty tight schedule, I need to print two of theses within a week at most. I'm not sure how to fix the warning if it's critical, and why it would be like that in the first place. Here's the file in OnShape. I'd love to learn other CAD software, and I am, but I'm just too busy right... Source: over 2 years ago
As per subject have the world seen enough of these? Has the trust gone since 3dhubs.com kicked a big chunk of those that used to be on the platform. Source: about 3 years ago
I use outsourced 3d printing all the time for my business, along with a Form2 printer for my own engineering prototypes. But websites like 3dhubs.com, craftcloud3d.com and companies like Jawstec has effectively killed the small print shops. It's super easy to get immediate (and very very fair, downright cheap) pricing that it is my go-to for larger prints in PLA or ABS that I don't want to deal with tinkering on...
