  • WezTerm: an actually good config key binding recipe
While WezTerm is a great terminal with sane defaults, it doesn't provide The default key binding to open the configuration file and edit it. That is Understandable, everyone may have their own preference for that. Here we will Figure out the recipe that would work everywhere and abide by modern standards. - Source: dev.to / 13 days ago
  • Superfile – A fancy, petty terminal file manager
I very well might be in the minority of Linux users, but I don't particularly care about the answers to most of these questions. I just want it to work. Give me solid defaults[0]. I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to override those defaults. That's an important feature of Linux. My first experience running a cool-looking TUI file manager yesterday (I actually ended up trying yazi first) was that I got a lot of... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
  • what terminal emulator would you recommend?
Wezterm is pretty good, I've been using it for a long time without any issues. The feature set is honestly huge and I'm probably using 10% of the capabilities, but I like having a lot of options. Source: 6 months ago
  • Terminal emulators that break from the traditional rendering approach?
And my own humble entry in this space is wezterm: https://wezfurlong.org/wezterm which has a decent population of users in Japan and a handful of arabic/RTL users for the unfinished bidi support. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Lsix: Like "Ls", but for Images
I switched to Zellij[1] a few years back, and I've been enjoying Sixel support since sometime in 2022. If you're looking to shake up your workflow, I find it's a vastly superior experience to tmux out of the box. It ships with all the features I would otherwise add through external plugins and convoluted configuration scripts by default while remaining significantly more stable and more performant. • Lsix: Like "Ls", but for Images
I used to do all of this type of stuff to get my copy-paste to work in tmux but honestly it's still a pita. The alternative I started using recently (zellij[1]) has copy and paste just working out of the box with no fancy configuration required and also has a much saner session management mechanic that also works right out of the box. • `tmux` is worse is better
Being a big tmux fan, I never thought it would come to something like this, but Zellij (https://zellij.dev/) has completely solved this for me. I generally run Zellij on my laptop and tmux on remote servers -- it's been a surprisingly positive experience so far. Try it out -- your tmux muscle memory (e.g. All the hotkeys you remember) will also work out of the box. - Source: Hacker News / 22 days ago

My use-cases are pretty basic, and my use isn't all that frequent, but I've been very happy with: https://zellij.dev/. - Source: Hacker News / 22 days ago
